Today has been nice, third day in a row that I have slept in 'til 9:30.
I shoveled and took pictures outside, and played with the kitty.
-speaking of which, He is getting fat.
I looked at old emails and wrote a new one.
Got the garlic bread ready to get ready. If that makes any sense :)
Made a cookie tray.
Edited a few pictures.
Enjoyed watching the snow fall. and fall. and fall. I like snow.
I am wearing a skirt, I like skirts too.
and boots. cute ones. If I do say so myself.
yup. Tonight has a strong possibility of being fun.
We are planning on going to the Cobb's house.
I am taking Apples to Apples.
I like that game.
Have a very lovely day. :)

This past weekend while we watched the Cobb kids-

Mara had the brilliant idea of decorating herself with lights.

and then Aaron and Megan thought that it was indeed a bright idea and wanted to do it too. :)

anyhow. I thought you all would like to see them in their radiance.

Happy Monday.

A Handmade Christmas.

On our trip to see my Grandma I took some yarn and a crochet hook in hopes that I would be able to make a camera case for my new multi purpose gadget. :)
I got it done and it was quite nice to pass the time and to even work on while we were visiting.
This one is for me but now I am working on another for a gift for some lucky case-less person.
I do think it turned out rather cute, and it is thick and strong to protect my camera.

to see other ideas for handmade things go over to Abbi's blog to see...

Runaway goat.

Yesterday we sold a goat to our sorta neighbors, they live down the hill on a little road off of ours, They came and got her and took her home. and we thought that was the end.

Last night the new owner called and said, She got out of the fence and going away from their house and ours. He had followed her for a little bit but she got away. Dad thought that there wasn't much else we could do that night and just wait until morning.

This morning, Dad went out to milk goats, and in our pasture outside of the gate by the goat pen was little miss goat. She had decided to come home. and is now very nonchalantly eating hay and visiting with the other goats like nothing has happened.

Never the less she gets to stay for a few days while they "beef up the security", I feel a little bit sad for her since she worked so hard to get back. but alas, she shall have an adventure to tell about. Oh and she is expecting a kid. Imagine this pregnant lady tromping all over the country :)

I like her. and I think goats are smart.

For Fun.

I was wanting to make a gift for someone who doesn't really need a whole lot but appreciates getting things. so I decided to make this sweet tin of cookies :)
and also I was wanting to try out my new wrapping paper. it's cute isn't it!?!

This was actually an old infant formula can, and the paper was removed and then I added wrapping paper :) and fun stickers on top.

and I put cookies on the inside.
I shall deliver it today. so it isn't really a christmas gift. :)

Lacy Sunsets.

Around here we get lots of sunsets. but they are different, as in we live in the woods :)
I like to call them lacy sunsets. I really do love this place in the world.
44.I'm thankful for our special sunsets.

This picture actually was taken on the last day of deer hunting, and I was sitting in the stand getting cold so I decided to go and get my camera and shoot some pictures instead. :)

thankful for...

41. Reading the bible in the morning.
42. Buster, wanting me to throw things for him to chase.
43. Jackpine.

...things that hardly ever change.

I do like change too. because, all of those have changed, but still they are still the same.
you know know what I mean? :)

But I am thankful for my God, who does not change, His word is always the same.
I like knowing that what was right yesterday and 20 years before and when the world was created is right. Now and forever.

Missing teeth isn't always adorable.
But Miss Bea sure does pull it off well.

She is adorable.
and how about the lisp!? (lithp)
She actually could talk pretty much without one.
but I think it was there.
Oh Bea!

Potato picking.

On Wednesday we (29 of us) went to Park rapids to find some potatoes.
and did we find them!
at first it didn't look like there was very many but a fellow tipped Dad off to where there was a big pile that was not going to be used, so while the rest of us picked over the fields he and a few others went and filled all of the sacks that we had brought.
all in all our truck load was about 2000 pounds and adding everybody else's it was probably close to 3000 lbs in all.
Miss Megan. She was a good helper!
Emily and Mara had a good time picking potatoes.

Laura Danielle

Lucas and Mom.

working hard.

It was kinda funny, they didn't let the kids ride in the back since the back window was covered up, but they stilled liked sitting back there while it was stationary.
So now we have potatoes which is pretty great. It was kinda neat how that we can use what would usually be wasted.
This Sunday (October 4th) we are having an Open house at church, and we will be having baked potatoes :) You all are welcome to come! Here is info.
Have a lovely day!
