Pita Bread.

Yesterday I was hungry for gyros. But we didn't really have the ingredients.

No pita bread, no cucumbers, no lamb, no Greek yogurt...

So, I improvised and made what I could.

I made pita bread- It was really fun, kinda easy and very tasty.

as for the other stuff- I substituted- I used leftover roast beef, kefir and goat cheese. and I skipped the cucumber.

This is the recipe I used for the pita bread- "Homemade Rustic Pita Bread."

although I used mostly whole wheat and added minced garlic.

It was a quite delicious supper if I do say so myself.

I plan on making them again.

It looks yummy! Gyros do sound good. I haven't had a authentic one in a long time.
Your pictures look very nice.
Didn't you have greek yogurt? I gave Mom some greek yogurt start and she made yogurt. Maybe it wasn't done then.
